📦 Digital Products
After completing your purchase, you'll receive an email with a download link within a few minutes. The email will come from Empowered Foster Parent and include a "Download Your Files" button.
Didn't receive the email? Check your spam/junk folder first. If you still can't find it, contact us at empoweredfosterparent@yahoo.com with your order number.
All digital products are delivered as PDF files. Many of our products include fillable PDFs, which allow you to type directly into the document before printing.
You can open PDF files on any computer, tablet, or smartphone using free software like Adobe Reader, Preview (Mac), or your web browser.
You can: Print copies to give to your co-parent, teaching staff, or caseworker.
You cannot: Share the digital PDF files via email, social media, or file-sharing sites. Each purchase is for personal or single-classroom use only.
If other foster parents want these resources, please direct them to our website to purchase their own copy.
All digital product sales are final. Because these are instant downloads, we cannot offer refunds once you've accessed the files.
If you experience a technical issue (download link not working, corrupted file, etc.), contact us immediately and we'll resolve the problem. See our Refund Policy for full details.
The free "First 24 Hours After a Foster Placement" checklist is available on our homepage. Simply enter your email address in the free resource form, and we'll send you the download link immediately.

🏡 Respite Care
Respite care provides temporary relief for foster parents, adoptive parents, and families caring for children with special needs. It gives you time to rest, attend appointments, or handle emergencies while your child is cared for in a safe, licensed home.
We offer both daytime (drop-off care) and overnight respite services.
Step 1: Fill out the intake form on our Respite Care page.
Step 2: We'll reply within 24 hours to discuss your child's needs and check availability.
Step 3: Once approved, we'll coordinate scheduling and payment (if applicable).
Note: If you're using CLTS or Foster Care Respite funding, contact your service coordinator or OCM first to get authorization.
Yes! We are approved CLTS (Children's Long-Term Support) providers. If your child has CLTS funding, we can bill directly through your support plan.
How to use CLTS:
1. Contact your service coordinator and let them know you want to use respite care.
2. They will submit the authorization.
3. Fill out our intake form to check availability.

Yes. Every product we create is designed with trauma-informed care principles in mind. We understand the unique challenges children who have experienced trauma face, and our tools reflect that understanding.
Our resources emphasize regulation, predictability, and connection—not punishment or behavior modification.
Empowered Foster Parent is founded by Marissa, a licensed foster parent, educator, and trauma-informed care advocate. Every resource is created from lived experience navigating the foster care system.
